About our league

The 13th District Dart League is an American dart league located in southern Camden county and northern Gloucester County in New Jersey. It was formed in 1978. It comprised of five teams; National Park VFW A and B teams; Verga VFW, Mantua VFW and Bridgeport, NJ. It took it's name, 13th District, from the Veteran's of Foreign Wars organizations of the area of Gloucester County; and was restricted to private organizations; i.e. VFW's, Garrisons, Legions, etc.

In 1997 teams were dwindling, so the first 'public' establishment was brought into the league, to maintain league integrity. The Garden House in Paulsboro, NJ. The National Park VFW supplied three teams, the National Park Boat Club added three teams, Mantua's VFW included two more. The Whitebridge Tavern joined the ranks in 1998, to complete the 10 team league.

In 1999, the six teams in the Gloucester, NJ dart league were in jeopardy of closing up. The 13th District League was looking for more teams to bolster the level of play; thus a merger of both leagues was completed.
